This Privacy Policy describes how Blackbeard's Wake ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information We Collect

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not require you to create an account or log in.
  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal contact information.
  • We do not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, certain information may be collected automatically through third-party services:

  • Device identifiers (e.g., IDFA, IDFV) for advertising purposes
  • Usage data such as app interactions, session duration, and crash reports
  • IP address (used by third-party ad networks for general geographic targeting)
  • Device information such as device model, OS version, and screen size

Locally Stored Data

Game progress, high scores, and user preferences (such as the "Remove Ads" purchase status) are stored locally on your device using standard device storage. This data is not transmitted to any server.

2. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob (Advertising)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and usage data to serve relevant ads.

Apple StoreKit (In-App Purchases)

We use Apple's StoreKit framework to process the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or Apple ID credentials.

3. Advertising & Ad Personalization

The App displays interstitial advertisements between gameplay sessions. You may be prompted (via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework) to allow or deny tracking for personalized advertising.

  • If you allow tracking, ads may be personalized based on your activity across other apps and websites.
  • If you deny tracking, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.
  • You can purchase "Remove Ads" within the App to permanently remove all advertisements.

4. Children's Privacy

The App is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

5. Data Retention

We do not operate servers or databases that store your personal data. All game data is stored locally on your device. Third-party services (Google AdMob, Apple) retain data according to their own privacy policies linked above.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information associated with the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Opt out of personalized advertising via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, or Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Delete local app data by uninstalling the App from your device.
  • Request information about data collected by third-party services by contacting those services directly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
